The AMC330 is a single module, mid size AdvancedMCTM (AMC) based on the AMC.1 specification. The AMC330 provides Dual 4x InfiniBand at 10 or 20Gb/s per port. The InfiniBand Host Channel Adapter (HCA) deliver low-latency and high-bandwidth for performance-driven storage clustering, High-Performance Computing, and Embedded environments. The AMC330 has support for hardware-based I/O virtualization which is complementary to Intel and AMD virtualization technologies. The hardware offload architecture allows clustered and client/server applications achieve maximum performance since the CPU cycles are available to focus on critical application processing instead of network functions. Network protocol processing and data movement overhead such as RDMA and Send/Receive semantics are completed in the adapter without CPU intervention. Applications utilizing TCP/UDP/IP transport can achieve industry-leading throughput when run over the HCA and its hardware-based stateless offload engines.
