1. Your personal data - what is it?

Personal data is any information (either electronic or on paper) relating to a living individual who can be identified from that data.  If you reside in the European Union then the way VadaTech deals with personal data is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. How do we process your personal data?

VadaTech complies with our obligations under the GDPR by keeping personal data up to date; by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure and by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data.

 

4. What is the legal basis for processing your personal data?

The legal basis for holding this data is the consent of the data subject.  We can only inform you about products and technology if we know how to contact you, and we need your consent to hold your contact details.  You can withdraw your consent at any time.

 

5. Sharing your personal data

Your personal data will be treated as strictly confidential.  VadaTech works with a number of organisations to help us process your data (for example on-line marketing companies) that have procedures in place to keep your data safe and are covered by agreements which ensure that the standards of data protection in the GDPR are delivered. These processors will never use your data in any way not connected with VadaTech.

 

6. How long do we keep your personal data?

VadaTech only keeps your data for as long as we need to, and after that it is securely disposed of.  This means that two years after we last heard from you we will ask if you wish to remain in contact with us and will delete your data if you do not say yes.

 

7. Your rights and your personal data 

Unless subject to an exemption under the GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data: 

  • The right to request a copy of personal data which we hold about you;
  • The right to request that we correct any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date; 
  • The right to request your personal data is erased where it is no longer necessary for us to retain such data;
  • The right to withdraw your consent to the processing at any time
  • When we are processing data because you have given your consent, you have the right to request that we provide you with your personal data and where possible, to transmit that data directly to another data controller, (this is known as the right to data portability).
  • The right, where there is a dispute in relation to the accuracy or processing of your personal data, to request a restriction is placed on further processing;
  • When we process data to provide you with information about VadaTech products or services, in order to carry out our business (legitimate interests) or to produce research statistics, you have the right to object to the processing of personal data (where applicable),
  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioners Office.

 

8. Further processing

If VadaTech wishes to use your personal data for a new purpose, not covered by this Data Privacy Statement, then we will provide you with a new notice explaining this new use before starting the processing and setting out the relevant purposes and processing conditions. Where necessary, we will seek your prior consent to the new processing.
